A native of Georgia and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late David Edward and Alta Louise Yarborough Stamey. Eddie worked alongside his parents in retail and attend Luther Pentecostal Holiness Church in Candler. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his car.
Eddie is survived by his sister, Cynthia Grahl, and her husband, Derrick, of Waynesville; and two nephews, Colton Hightower and Todd Grahl.
