Susan's father was Ambrose Cobb. He first appeared on census records in 1840.
She married Ralph Lane in Brown County, Indiana August 13, 1844.
They had one son. On his marriage license application his name was Ambrose Thomas Lafayette Lane.
They lived in Van Buren Township, Brown County Indiana.
Ralph was on the 1850 census in Brown County, and he finalized his land grant papers in 1857 in Jeffersonville, Indiana at the land office.
Ralph and Susan lived and were most likely buried near where they lived in Van Buren Township with a post office of Milo and New Bellsville.
Their graves are not marked, and most of the cemeteries the records and plat maps were burned in courthouse fires. There were two fires both before 1880.
