Ophelia Marinda (Brandt) Knowlton, a long-time resident of Comfort, Tx, peacefully went to be with our Lord on March 7th, 2018 at the age of 92. Ophelia was born on February 7th, 1926 in Boerne, Tx to parents Edward and Velma Brandt. She was one of six siblings: Oland, Leona, Lester, Evelyn and Thelma.
Ophelia married John Knowlton Jr. on July 3rd, 1942. The couple settled in San Antonio, Tx and raised two children: Donna (Knowlton) Porter and Kenneth L. Knowlton Sr. The couple later fulfilled their dream of purchasing land and building a home in the beautiful Texas hill country, where they resided for the remainder of their lives.
Ophelia was a loving and very proud grandmother to seven grandchildren; Denise Thompson, Shelly McDaniel, Keith Porter, Kimberley Vickers, Kenneth Knowlton II, Korie Davis and Kody Knowlton and thirteen great-grandchildren; Avery, Brodie, Charlee, Cooper, Macie, Madison, Kase, Kash, Sadie, Travis, Tristin, Tyler and Will.
Visitation Friday, March 16, 2018 followed by a Graveside Service and then a reception.
