Somerville - Eleanor Louise Kugler, age 90, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021. Eleanor was a life long resident of Somerville first graduating from Somerville High School and going on to graduate from Holy Ghost Hospital of Nursing in Cambridge, MA. She worked at St. Peter's Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ and retired from Somerset Medical Center after many years as Kitchen Supervisor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, her parents, Richard and Eleanor Tobin and brother, John Tobin. Eleanor leaves behind her son, Richard and his wife, Lydia, son, James Kugler and a daughter, Suzanne Wilson along with grandchildren, Jordan Kugler and his wife Danielle, James and Brandon Kugler, Catherine Sopko, Nicole Hartman, Richard, Bridget, Andrew, Colin, Michael and Laura Sopko, Ellie Combs, along with her brothers, Harry and wife, Jeanette Tobin and Richard and wife, Kay Tobin and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21,2021 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville, NJ. Service immediately following at the funeral home after which Eleanor will be taken to her final resting place - Hopewell Baptist Meeting House Cemetery, 47-48 W. Broad St., Hopewell, NJ
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor's name to the Somerville First Aid and Rescue Squad, 21 Park Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876.
