L.D. Castleberry of Nimrod

L.D. lost his battle with acute leukemia October 19, 2021.
He was the fifth child born in Pleasant Valley, AR. (where Lake Ouachita now stands) to "Bill and Bertha (Vanderslice) Castleberry.

L.D. is survived by his wife of 62 years Rita (Edwards) Castleberry and one son M.B. Castleberry. Sisters Doris Phillips and Linda Fagan; brothers Wilburn, Gary and Jerry Castleberry.

L.D. was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mildred Phillips, Geraldine Wilson and Wanda Davis.

He served in the United States Navy, worked at Norris dispensers for 12 years and was self-employed (air condition and heat repair in Hot Springs, AR.) for many years. After retiring they moved to a farm in Nimrod, AR. (Perry Co,) where he enjoyed working and living.

According to his wishes there will be no funeral service and cremation immediately.
