Mary Hagon,,99 a resident of John P. Shirk Home in Faulkton and formerly of Seneca, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1993 at Faulk County Memorial Hospital in Faulkton. Funeral services for Mrs. Hagon were held, Sept. 12, 1993 at Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton. Rev. Donna Stewart officiated. Marlene Hammond was organist with Bob Hall as soloist. Pallbearers were Belvin Fahrni, Bob Fahrni, Geary Fahrni, Lowell Fahrni, John Fahrni , Leonard Fahrni, Larry Fahrni, Robert potter and Mike Potter. Burial was in the Oakland Cenetery at Seneca under the direction of Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton. Mary Fahrni was born July 16, 1894 at Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Godfried and Anna (Spring) Fahrni. She moved with her parents to Latham Township in Faulk County south of Seneca in 1906 where she attended rural school. She married Numa Hagon on Feb. 22 1911 at her parents farm home. They made their home a farm in Latham Township until early 1950 when they moved into Seneca. Her husband died in 1954 and she continued to make her home in Seneca until moving into the John P. Shirk Home on Nov. 22, 1986. She was a member of the Seneca United Methodist Church. Survivors include: two daughters, May Cody of San Lorenzo, Calif., and Wilma Hazelwood of Herber Springs, Ark., five grand-children; ten great-grandchildren; one-great-great grandchild; and one sister, Susie Porter of Rapid City, S.D. Preceding her death were her husband on Sept. 3, 1954, one daughter, her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
