Funeral services for Anna Ruth Abercrombie, 86, will
be at 2 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 6, in Glad Tidings Church.
The Rev. John Bosman will officiate. Burial will be
in Highland Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral
Home. Visitation is from 5-10 p.m. today and from 1
p.m. Saturday in the church. Mrs. Abercrombie died
Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, in the Jennings hospital.
A native of Fenton, she was a longtime resident of
Jennings. She was a charter member of Glad Tidings
Church. Survivors include two sons, Albert Wayne
Abercrombie and James Clark Abercrombie, both of
Moss Bluff; one daughter, Lettie Judith Meddows
of Moss Bluff; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-
grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Morris
Plotts Memorial Fund at Glad Tidings Church, the
family said.
