Luther Lewis Cooper formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday at John Cochren Hospital in St. Louis.

He was 68 yrs. old, a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics. He was also, a veteran of World War 2.
Services were held Monday afternoon at four o'clock in Curry's Chapel. Reverend Joseph Trybone officiated with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Andrew Williams, Earl Knickerboxer, Michael McCoy, Wayne Mitchell, Billy Williams and James Cooper. Curry Funeral home had charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Valda Hawks Cooper; three daughters, Mrs. Willie Hicks, Fulton Kentucky, Mrs. Ray Hames of East Gary, Indiana, Mrs. Vernon Westmoreland of Hobart, Indiana; three brothers, Murray Cooper, Mckenzie. Clarence Cooper, Greenfield and Lucian Nelson, Niles, Michigan; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Reynolds, Miss. Ada Cooper Of Mckenzie and Miss. Imogene Bonner, Valparaiso, Indiana; five grandchildren and great grandchild.
