Jo Ann Anderson Stiehl Cooper, of Nampa, passed away on Friday, October 15th at 83 years of age.
Jo Ann was born on January 21, 1938 to JE and Donna Anderson in Nampa Idaho. She was the youngest of two girls.
She attended Nampa High School, where she graduated in 1956. While in high school she worked at the Pix theater as a cashier and candy girl. After high school she was a car hop at the Toot and Tell Drive-In where she met a handsome farmer from Parma, Robert Stiehl. Robert and Jo Ann married in 1958. After getting married she moved to Parma, Idaho and went to work for Ma Bell as a telephone operator. She didn't last long at that job because she had to wear a head set which messed up her hair (true story). Jo Ann then welcomed her baby boy Rex in 1960. In 1964 Jo Ann and Robert moved to Nampa where they continued to farm. In 1967 Jo Ann welcomed her baby girl Angie. While raising her family and helping with the farm Jo Ann also worked at the Bank of Idaho and Zales (Jo Ann had a love of fine jewelry). In 1980 Jo Ann opened her own jewelry store, Stiehl's Fine Jewelry, until 1984 when her husband Robert was diagnosed with leukemia. After 50 years of marriage, Robert passed away in 2009.
In 2011 Jo Ann married John B. Cooper, of Boise. They spent 10 years together traveling in their motorhome and wintering in Yuma, Arizona. John passed away on October 1, 2021.
She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, her husbands Robert Stiehl and John B. Cooper, her daughter Monica, and her older sister Carolyn.
She is survived by her son Rex Stiehl (Tiffany) and her daughter Angie Dunlap (Gregg). Her grandchildren: Mychal Stiehl (Kaela), Kaylee Stiehl, Jake Dunlap, Luke Dunlap and the ones lucky enough to call her grandma great: Kayden Stiehl and Charly Stiehl (due January 2022).
Mom, you were loved by all and will be missed greatly.
