She loved spending time with her family and beloved friends. The old saying, "never met a stranger", was meant for Margarette. Her home was always a safe haven for family, friends and strangers going thru challenging times. She was a spinner, weaver and avid seamstress. Margarette attended numerous renaissance, city and county fairs displaying her spinning and weaving and often volunteered her time at schools teaching children spinning and weaving basics. Many of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews were blessed in the blessing outfits Margarette made for them. Margarette was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her Heavenly Father deeply. She knew He answered her prayers. Margarette married William Martin Stallings, September 12, 1959. They were sealed in the St. George, Utah temple September 12, 1969 and were married 31 years when Bill passed. She later married John Hottel, they were married 20 years when John passed.
She is survived by four children, Juanita Lori Stallings, Lance (Nancy) Stallings, Tawnee (Cleve) Bowen and Darby (Saskia) Stallings, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sisters Gail (Hyrum) Smith and Kallie (Arnold) Young.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Glenna Wilkins Cooper, by two sons, Jerry Allen and Cody Stallings, sisters Christine Marcey and Nola Ungerman.
Margarette will always have a place in the hearts of all those she has touched with her constant kind spirit.
Funeral services will be held April 8, 2017 at the Main Street Chapel, 82 North Main St, Washington, UT. Viewing from 11:00 to 12:30 with funeral services following at 1:00 P.M. Flowers can be sent through Serenity Funeral Home.
