Betty Lou Acree Johnson, 88, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away October 24, 2021. She was born on April 25th, 1933, in Leslie, Arkansas.
She is survived by her children, Dr. James R. Acree (Linda) and Marla Acree Melton; three grandchildren, Jamie Acree, Daniel Melton (Laura), Joanna Melton Hanna (Jason); four great-grandchildren, Emilia Melton, Annelise Melton, Noah Hanna, Molly Hanna; and her brother, Charles H. Harness (Rosemary) as well as a host of additional family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Harness; and mother, Myrtle Harness; husband Ralph Acree (1994); husband, Bill Johnson (1997); and son-in-law, Don Melton (2018).
Betty was in the BBQ and deli restaurant and catering business for many years. She enjoyed working with her clients and always had stories to tell her customers. She loved talking and getting to know everyone she served. She never met a stranger and loved getting to know new people. She could start up a conversation with anyone anywhere. Everybody was her friend.
Funeral service will be 1:30 Friday, October 29, 2021 at First Baptist Church- Cabot with visitation 12:30-1:30 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park at 3:00PM.
