Margaret Nisbet Kittrell 90 passed away on 9-24-2016. The funeral will be held Wednesday in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Reece Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Kettrell, a native of Pitt County, was a faithful member of First Christian Church for 65+ years, where she sang in the church choir for 45+ years and served as the church secretary.
She was a 1944 graduate of Greenville High School. After graduation, she worked in the chief of chaplain's office in the Munitions Building in Washington, D. C. , and later attended East Carolina University in the business department. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Kenneth Quiggins; for the architects, Jimmy Grithith, and Dudley Shoe; and at First Christian Church.
Mrs. Kittrell was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lindsey Earl Kittrell; daughter, Laura Lee; brothers, Billy Nisbet and Rev. James Nisbet; sisters, Edith Holley, Phoebe Kinlaw, and Nancy Bowden.
Survived by sons, Stan Kittrell and Roy Kittrell; daughter, Lindsay Ingalls; grandsons, Brad Ingalls and Michael Kittrell; great-granddaughters, Emmy Ingalls and Sarah Ingalls; sister-in-law, Katie Lou Kittrell; and many nieces and nephews.
