Asa Meeks "Ace" Denson was born on December 12, 1888 in Flynns Lick, Jackson County, Tennessee, the son of Alfred Denson (1861–1947) and Nannie (Henson) Denson (1866–1919). {While his Death Certificate has his year of birth as 1887, both his World War I Draft Registration Card and his listing on the US Social Security Death Index have it as 1888.}
He was married 1st on November 20, 1910 in Jackson County to Della Burton (1886–1911), and he was married 2nd to George Ann "Georgie" Brown (1898–1970) on February 16, 1913 in Jackson County.
A retired grocer living on Woods Avenue off Rural Route 1 out of Old Hickory, Davidson County, Tennessee, Ace was 75 years old and married when he had a heart attack and died at home of a hemorrhage on February 19, 1963.
Survivors included his widow Georgie, daughters Mrs J B Bowman in Old Hickory, Mrs Velma Warren of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and Mrs Elmer Spense in Rossville, New Mexico, sons Wilbert Denson and Woodrow Denson of Old Hickory, sisters Mrs Bertha Draper in Ridgetop, Tennessee and Miss Mary L Denson of Nashville, brothers Lonzo Denson and H L Denson in Jackson County and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on February 21st at Madison Funeral Home, with the minister of Berryville Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
