ADA SENNETT PASSES TO THE GREAT BEYOND
Sad And Untimely Passing of Young Wife and Mother
Mourned by the Entire Community

The entire community was painfully shocked last Thursday evening when the sad message came over the wires from Afton, Iowa, that Mrs. Ada Sennett had passed away. Only a few hours previous, the first intimation of her illness was received here when a message came announcing that she was very low. Her mother, Mrs. Albert Foust, was almost overcome with grief when the sad news was conveyed to her.
That a young wife and mother, just in the prime of life, should be snatched from her husband and loved ones, without scarcely any warning, was almost too much to believe.
The remains reached here from Iowa, Saturday noon, over the Panhandle, accompanied by the forlorn husband, Charles K. Sennett, and two little children.
Impressive funeral services were conducted from the parental home on Main street, Sunday afternoon at 2:30, in charge of Rev. E. E. Clements, of the M. E. church. The pastor's remarks and the quartette's rendition of several beautiful hymns were touching. The remains were laid in their final resting place in the old cemetery within a stone's throw of the old home where the deceased spent most of her girlhood days.
Ada Ellen Schricker was born at Wanatah, Ind., October 13, 1886, and died at Afton, Iowa, April 3, 1913; being 26 years, 5 months and 20 days of age when death claimed her. While yet a small girl she came with her parents to North Judson, and graduated from the local High School class of 1905. She taught school for 3 years and in 1908 was united in marriage to Mr. Chas. K. Sennett, of Monterey, Ind. They at once went to Afton, Ia., where the groom had a good position as a telegraph operator. Two children, Marian, aged 3 1/2 years and Cecil, aged 2 years, blessed the happy union and both survive the mother. Deceased was a kind and lovable woman woman and her untimely death is mourned by all who knew her. The husband, mother and father of the deceased have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this grave misfortune.
Those in attendance at the funeral from out of town, were: Martin Schricker and daughter, Miss Melba, of Spencerville, O.; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sennett and family, of Monterey; Cecil Sennett, Dr. W. M. Kelsey, Dr. W. E. Kelsey, Mrs. Lena Collins, Mr. and Mrs. F. Hartman and Ora L. Duff, of Monterey, Mrs. C. O. Anderson of Afton, Iowa, Mrs. Minnie Osborn, of Culver; Mrs. Howard Enoch, of Fairmount, Ind., and Henry F. Schricker, of Knox.
