Preceded in death by her husband, Sebron Preston Grubbs, who died February 7, 1980; her eldest daughter, Denise "Neese" G. Magee, who died on March 15, 2002, and her parents, John Henry & Myrtle Caudle Moxley. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patrice "Treese" G. & Johnny Knight; son-in-law, David W. Magee; grandchildren, Ryan McCune, Jessica Knight, Aaron Knight, Jeremey Magee, & Adam Magee; brothers, Rev. John D. Moxley, Winston-Salem & Jack Moxley, Boonville; sisters, Kathleen Davis, Boonville, Colleen Hunnicutt, Winston-Salem, & Wanda Cox, Pinnacle. Interment followed funeral services at the Woodland Baptist Church (where Mrs. Grubbs was a member since May of 1956), on Wednesday, November 30, 2005; Revs. John D. Moxley & Tim Gammons presided.
