Graveside services for Bertha Lee Register, 85, Overton will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2007 in Bethel Cemetery, Logansport, Louisiana with Reverend Dean Register officiating under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Mrs. Register died Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Overton. She was born November 16, 1922 in Windfield, Louisiana to the late Henry J. and Julia McCullen Oakes.

Mrs. Register was a resident of Henderson for eight years prior to moving to Overton. She was an LVN and had worked at Henderson Memorial Hospital and later, she worked as a private sitter. She has resided in Overton the past five years and she was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Overton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. Register, Sr. on June 7, 1997.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wesley Register and W.C., Jr. and Debbie Register all of Overton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Pyle of Gladewater, Julie and James Hunt of Overton, and Sarah and George M. Momenpour of Andalusia, Alabama; a sister, Barbara Dale Saintignan of Lake of the Pines; ten grandchildren, Heather Register, Toby Register, Terry Register, Michael Pyle, Donald Pyle, Becky Pyle, Betty Hunt, Ricky Hunt, Shirin Brown, and Armon Momenpour; and eight great grandchildren.
