Hanford –
The rosary for Alvina C. Vaz, 79, of Hanford was held Friday. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Vaz died Thursday.
She was born in Tipton. She had lived in Hanford since 1936. She was a saleswoman at a dress shop.
Surviving are her two daughters Angie Pereira and Virginia Martin, both of Los Osos; three sisters, Mary Borba and Vera Silva, both of Tulare, and Gertie Davies of Santa Rosa; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any remembrance be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Mary Immaculate Queen School building fund of Lemoore.
Whitehurst – McNamara Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
