William Grant Smiley was born to William Smiley and Ruby Bloodworth Smiley. He married Alice Irene Pierce and moved to Daytona Beach, Florida in 1954. He owned Port Orange Land Company for many years. He had 3 daughters, Linda Kay, Virginia Alice and Barbara Ann. He had one son, William Grant. He died on Feb 22, 1995 of complications from a long battle with cancer.
