Jacqueline "Monique" Veer, 80, Peru, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 4, 1927 in Paris, France to Guilliame and Simone (Bille) Brochet. She married Charles E. Veer Jan. 8, 1959, and he survives.
Jacqueline was a homemaker.
Survivors besides her husband include her mother-in-law, Myrna Veer, Freeport, Ill.; two nephews, Andre Haudebourg and Alain Petit, both of Paris, France; eight brothers-in-law, Bill Veer and wife Charity, Frank Veer and wife Sherri, Karl Veer and wife Evelyn, Ernie Veer and wife Shirley, Sam Veer and wife Sandy, Ron Veer, all of Freeport, Ill., Doug Veer and wife Kathy, Augusta, Ga., and John Veer and wife Eileen, Strawberry, Ark.; a sister, Loulette Petit, Paris, France; and five sisters-in-law, Neva Bartel and husband Gene, Rosie Quintero and husband Ben, all of Freeport, Ill., Beatrice Dean, Tennessee, Grace Heck and husband Rocky, and Charity Sullivan and husband Dave, all of Freeport, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Catholic Church, with Father Francis Kilcline officiating.
Burial will be in Peoria Cemetery, Peoria.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru.
