Loran Ray was born on August 25, 1953, in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, the son of Bryl Everett and Phyllis Marie (Thomason) Abraham.
Loran earned his master's degree in law enforcement from Sangamon State in Springfield. Later he earned a degree in healthcare and worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for many years.
Loran served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Loran is survived by:
Daughter – Lori (Roy) Cavazos of Olney, Illinois
Granddaughter who he raised as his own – Nikki (Trent) Budde of Spearfish, South Dakota
Grandson – Harlen Wilson
Great Grandchildren – Adelina and Benett Budde
Siblings – Robert (Cindy) Abraham of Mattoon, Illinois; Sandra (Keith) Schackmann of Newton, Illinois; Cathy (Ken) Rhodes of Urbana, Illinois; Richard (Deb) Abraham of Des Moines, Iowa; Mary Abraham of St. Louis, Missouri and Ronald Abraham of Neoga, Illinois
Loran was preceded in death by his parents, wives Margaret Joanne Abraham and Dikki Gaye "Dee" Seabrook.
Private burial will be in the Rochester Cemetery in Rochester, Illinois.
