Long Time Alaskan (57 years), Agnes Mary Jungers- Palach, 76 , passed away at home, in Anchorage, on New Year's Day, 2010 with her family surrounding her (cancer). She was born in Sandstone, MN to Ellen Welsh and William Jungers on February 7, 1933.

Agnes came to Alaska as an bride in 1953; She and her husband, (Theodore "Ted" Palach, had a double wedding in Moose Lake, MN with her brother, Wm "Bill" Jungers, JR. , and his bride, Joanne Johnson. The newlywed couples honeymooned as they drove together up the Alcan on their way to the patinum mine at Goodnews Bay where both men were employed by the Goodnews Bay Mining Co. Agness was widowed in 1968 and raised their five children in Anchorage. After her retirement from the Alaska State Housing Authority in 1989, Agnes enjoyed spending time with family and traveling to visit them in Japan, the Southwest, and MN. Her feisty spirit made her fun to travel with as she always enjoyed finding the next adventure. Agnes is survisited by:
