Clarence Walter Gallahan, 89 of King George, VA, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Heritage Hall. Son to the late Clarence Linsey Gallahan and Myrtle Carver Gallahan, he was born on Tuesday, August 9, 1932. Walter served as the Treasurer of King George County from 1968-1995. He was very active with his church Two Rivers Baptist, an avid gardener, and member of AARP as well as The Treasurers' Association of Virginia, the King George Historical Society, and the King George Ruritans. Walter loved to travel and spending time with family and friends. Walter is survived by his brother James "Kenny" Gallahan (Sonja); niece Judy Vaught (John); step-niece Rene Harper; step-nephew Troy Boyer (Jennifer); and longtime friend June Cleek. In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by his sister Clara DeShazo and his nephew Jerry Gallahan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 3 from 10 am to 11 am at Two Rivers Baptist Church in King George. Funeral will follow at 11 am and burial will take place at Potomac Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hope Tree, c/o of Two Rivers Baptist Church, 6420 Rokeby Lane, King George, VA 22485.
