Ronald L. Cruea, 67, of Troy, OH died Sunday, March 11, 2007. He was born August 6, 1939 in Troy to the late Wilfred H. and Hilda (Barga) Cruea. He was married to Juanita "Nita" (Gibbs) Cruea of Troy, OH for 31 years.

He is survived by his wife, sons and daughters-in-law: Christopher Cruea of Troy, OH, John Benner of Houston, TX, and Jeffrey and Robyn Benner of Kettering, OH; daughters and sons-in-law: Amy Cruea and Richard O'Connell of San Diego, CA, Juanita and Benjamin Wappelhorst of Great Lakes, IL, Jennifer Benner of Troy, OH and Carol and David Schumacher of Troy, OH; sister: Sheila Gold of Sidney, OH; brothers: Frederick Cruea of Casstown, OH, and James (Mary) Cruea of Troy, OH; and grandchildren: Jessica and Stephanie Benner, Amber and Danny Schumacher, Richard, John, and Tim O'Connell, Brianna, Emma, Olivia and Amery Wappelhorst and Tristen and Owen Benner.

Mr. Cruea was a 1957 Graduate of Troy High School. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy where he served as an usher and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of the Troy Civic Theatre and of St. Patrick's golf team. He coached girls' softball and St. Patrick's softball teams and was an avid Troy High School and Ohio State sports fan.

He retired in 2000 from Standard Register Co. in Dayton after 41 years of service. He was currently working part-time at Kohl's.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Rev. Father James Duell officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Wednesday, March 14, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick School Fund.
