Alton L. Cooper, 87, of Douglassville, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Darlene (Frederick) Cooper. Born in Warren County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Gracie Jane (Derflinger) and Oder L. Cooper. Alton proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as an Inside Wireman for IBEW Union #26 in Washington, D.C. for over 31 years before retiring in 1996. Alton was a member of the American Legion, Susquehanna Post #135, Perryville, MD and a member of the VFW Post #411, Birdsboro, PA. He enjoyed the outdoors, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and traveling the East Coast with his family for vacation.

In addition to his wife, Darlene, Alton is survived by his children; Chuck Cooper, husband of Lisa of Culpeper, VA, Tammy Darr, wife of Tim of Front Royal, VA, and Kim Davis, wife of Jeff of Winchester, VA. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, and 1 great grandchild. Alton is preceded in death by his siblings; Jane Manuel, Mary Lou Williams, and Howard Cooper.

Services will be held at a later date. Alton's final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery.
