Obituary for Lloyd Allen James
Lloyd Allen James passed away November 1st, 2021 in Tulsa, OK with his family by his side. Lloyd was born to Leslie James and Etta Mae Dyer James on June 9, 1947 in Talihina, OK.

Lloyd served his country in the Unites States Air Force. After the Air Force Lloyd worked for the Indian Health Services for 26 years, Talihina Public Schools retiring after 17 years. He had almost 20 years of service as a Volunteer firefighter for the Talihina Fire Department. He was an avid Tiger fan and a huge OU fan. He also enjoyed getting lottery tickets and the Poteau paper. After Lloyd retired he had time to spend with his family. Most Thursdays and Saturdays you would find Lloyd eating ribs at the BBQ place and visiting with friends.

Lloyd is survived by 2 grandchildren, Kelsey and Eddie Thomas of Talihina, Ok; Cameron and Cassie James of Lane, OK; 3 sisters, Cyndi and Michael Tarpley, Mona and Larry Allison, Sylvia and Gary Sigler & one great granddaughter.

Lloyd is proceeded by his parents, one sister, two brothers, two sons, Larry James and Steven James.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-6 pm at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Ok.

Services will be Friday, November 5th, 2021 at 2pm at the Talihina School Theater with Michael Hampton. Burial will be at New Talihina Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Services of Talihina, OK.
