Frank P. Huchingson, 72, died unexpectedly at his home on January 8. He had suffered a stroke in October, 1944, but since he had improved, he was brought home shortly before Christmas. However, he suffered another attack about 10:00 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are pending. Arrangements are under the direction of Riddle Funeral Home.
Mr. Huchingson lived in Mexia for over 30 years. During that period, he was active both in civic activities and church work. He was a Mason and a loyal member of the First Baptist Church.
He was born June 5, 1872, in Temple, Bell County, TX, the son of Capt. James C. and Mattie Clemens Huchingson. After attending school at Hico, he attended business school. For a short period of time, he worked for a milling company in Hamilton but spent the remainder of his career with Southern Pacific. He retired only three years ago.
On 17 May 1909, Frank and the former Bessie Thomas of Marlin were married. They had no children. She died February 16, 1942 and was buried in Marlin, Texas. He will be laid to rest beside her.
