Obituary for Roy Dean Boren
Roy Dean Boren was born February 6th, 1941 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Dolph and Ollie May (Toliver) Boren.

Roy was a member of Talihina Assembly of God Church for 50 years. Roy was very involved with his church. He was a Deacon, ran the sound system and church custodian for many years. His church and church family were very important to him.

Roy served in the U.S. Army for six years in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Roy operated a garage from his home for several years. He was a volunteer and served as Chief of the Whitesboro Fire Department for several years.

Roy is survived by his wife Shirley Morgan Boren of Whitesboro, Oklahoma; two sisters, Wilma Lee Conley of Wilburton, Oklahoma and O.B. and Dolphia Brewer of Ada, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Dolph and Ollie Boren; brothers Troy Boren, Thomas Boren, William Boren (Bill); sisters Lois Shepherd and Jimmie Neil Cecil.

Pallbearers will be; Dexter Morgan, Dustin Morgan, Kaleb Boren, Dakota Boren, Larry Boren and Robbie Boren.

Honorary Pallbearers; Doug Morgan, Kevin Mings, Ry Johnson, Tanner Trowbridge, Jordan Mings and D.J. McGee.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6:30-8:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma.

Services will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:00AM at Talihina Assembly of God Church in Talihina, Oklahoma with Pastors Charles Parker and John Stepp officiating. Interment will follow at Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
