Jane K. Alexander, 76, of 21 Violet Ave., Willow Street, died Thursday morning at Homestead Village after a brief illness. A homemaker, Mrs. Alexander was a member of Clearfield United Methodist Church, New Providence, where she was part of the United Methodist Women. She was a volunteer at Water Street Rescue Mission. Mrs. Alexander was a member of the Rawlinsville Camp Meeting Association auxiliary and the West Will Senior Citizens group. She enjoyed needlework and gardening. Born in Kinzers, she was the daughter of the late Elmer B. and Lydia Romaine Kurtz Hoover. Her husband, Charles N. Alexander, died in 1985. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah A., wife of Steven E. Kocher of Lancaster, and Cynthia K., wife of the Rev. Carl D. Caskey, of Neversink, NY; six grandchildren; a brother, Norman K., husband of Helen Hoover of State College; and three sisters, Dorothy A. Allen of Palmyra, Esther R. Taylor of Langhorne and Arlene A. Heffley of Sparta, NC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Maurice Hoover and the Rev. Robert C. Hoover; and a sister, Elizabeth H. Smith.
