SEPTEMBER 12, 1927 – OCTOBER 27, 2021

On Wednesday, the 27th of October 2021, Charlie passed from this life to rest in the arms of Jesus Christ. He was born September 12, 1927 in Pittsburg, Texas to Albert and Annie Hilton. Corporal Hilton served in the United States Army during WWII, was honorably discharged receiving the Victory Medal. Charlie was the former owner/operator of Urbandale Automotive where he hosted annual Christmas parties for his customers, friends and family. He was a "good ole East Texas country boy" who enjoyed all kinds of hunting, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, competing in car shows, "real" country music and dancing, playing bingo at the VFW, horse races, bowling and having fish fry's in the backyard. When able, Charlie could be found at the State Fair of Texas, enjoying the Automotive Building, drinking a cold beer, munching on a Fletcher's corndog, listening to the band play and always brought home saltwater taffy. From 1988-1989 Charlie was raised as worshipful master at James Ladd Burgess #1305 Dallas, Texas. Charlie was also a lifetime member from 1990-2021 of the VFW Post #6796, John Franklin Sprague Post Dallas, Texas.

Williams; son, Charles D. Hilton (Sue); daughters, Tonya R. Simmons & Claudia Hilton (Drew); niece, Connie Ruth Smitherman (Paul); grandchildren, Robert L. Hilton, Jr (Jessica), Brandy L.
