66, of Indianapolis, passed away November 5, 2021. He was born April 30, 1955 to Lloyd Philpott and Virginia (Nunn) Philpott. Bill received his Associates Degree from the U.S. Army and retired after 20 years.
Bill then moved on to another career in customer service at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, retiring again after 20 years.
Five years ago Bill found his ultimate dream job at Indy Funeral Escort Service as an escort driver. What better way to combine his love of service to others and his passion for riding Honda motorcycles.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington Street.
Bill is survived by his devoted companion of 30 years, Leatha M. Owen, along with her children April (Paul) Fiesel, Shannon (Steve) Moloy and Edward Owen, Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by daughters, Kristina Philpott and Tamara Clemens; brothers, Dean (Debbie) Philpott, Scott (Cindy) Philpott; sister, Valerie (Bob) Gunther; sister-in-law, Wanda Philpott. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Virginia Philpott and his brother, Gene Philpott.
