Gary L. Tomlinson, 66, of Kewanee, formerly of Geneseo, passed away on November 5, 2021, at his home at Courtyard Estates of Kewanee. Gary had resided at Courtyard Estates since 2011. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Reverend Dr. Chris Ritter will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Gary was born on May 21, 1955, at Hammond Henry Hospital, Geneseo, IL the son of Ralph & Shirley (Weber) Tomlinson. He attended Munson Center School his first three grades and graduated from J.D. Darnall High School Geneseo in 1973. Gary lived in rural Munson Township until 1975 when he moved to Geneseo with his mother, brother & sister. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Geneseo.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph in 1972, his mother Shirley in 2009, and his brother John in 2007.
