RICCIO. Anthony Brian Riccio, 21, of Glastonbury, died Tuesday (Sept. 20, 1994) in Moscow, Russia. He is the son of Lenore M. and John N. Riccio of Glastonbury. Anthony was a Russian Studies major at Brown University in Providence, R.I., spending his junior year in Russia at the Russian State Humanities University in a program of the American Collegiate Consortium. He graduated cum laude from the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, where he was on the swimming and water polo teams, and played cello in the school orchestra. He worked for five summers as a life guard and swimming instructor at the Pine Brook Club, Glastonbury.

At Brown he was a Teaching Assistant in Russian. He was a counselor in the Mieklejohn and CAP Student Advisory programs. He also worked at The Gate, and hosted a program on the University's AM radio station.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, 9:15 a.m., from the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, South Glastonbury, followed by graveside services at the Old Church Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Monday, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Anthony B. Riccio Memorial Fund for Student Assistance, c/o First Federal Savings, 2510 Main St., Glastonbury
