Durena Dale (Elkins) Case, age 75 of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away from this life on November 5th, 2021 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on May 28th, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Stella (Holland) and Carno Elkins. Durena married Larry Case in Ardmore, OK on October 5th, 1968 and they began their life journey together. Durena was a nurse by profession and was practicing for over 50 years. She took pride in her job and loved caring for people. She was a member of the Christian Church in Heavener, OK. She loved her family and was very devoted to them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Durena is survived by her husband, Larry of the home; children, Brett Case and wife Brandy of Talihina, OK, Desiree Thomas and husband Scott of Mansfield, TX, and Scott Case and wife Danica of Reading KS; siblings, Warren Elkins and wife Linda of Edmond, OK, Carolyn Webb and husband Essex of Talihina, OK, Dawna Landry and husband Kurt, Phillip Elkins of Poteau, OK, and Daryl Elkins of Talihina, OK; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be John Long, Paul Benton, Timmy Harrell, Don Bensely, Mike Bailey, and Ron Mansour.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim McKinely, Josh Towner, Spencer Harshman, Clint Huckaby, Johnny Fisher, and Mike Uhl.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma.
Services will be on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 at 2:00PM at Heavener Christian Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Bro. Denton Meade officiating. Interment will follow at New Talihina City Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
