BRANSON, BESSIE E. RURAL RETREAT, VA -- Bessie E. Branson, 77, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at her home. She was born in Bristol TN and lived in Bristol before moving to Rural Retreat in 1961. She was a former employee of Gordon Garment and Rural Retreat Garment Factory and attended the Church of God in Wytheville, where she taught Sunday school and was the pianist.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years John H. Branson, three brothers, Willie O'Neal of Bristol VA and Donald O'Neal and Howard O'Neal, both of Bristol TN, two sisters, Letitia Branson of Salinas, CA, and Blanche Shores of Bristol TN.
