Martin "Marty" Ross was born to David and Esther Ross in Long Beach, CA on March 19, 1958. He passed away November 1, 2021 in Colbert, WA. Marty grew up in Lakewood, CA and attended Jordan High School in Long Beach. He worked with Standard Oil for many years before moving to Spokane, WA with his son Michael in 1991. He enjoyed all the activities available in the Pacific Northwest. He loved camping, fishing and skiing.

Marty and Georgia, his wife and partner of 30 years, worked side by side for over 25 years in their construction business. Marty was truly one of a kind. He never met a stranger, was a friend to all and indeed had loads of friends, including most of the clients he met. In addition to his business, Marty volunteered at West Central Community Center, assisting clients with Down syndrome. They adored him and the feeling was mutual. He found great joy in helping others, the greatest of which came from all of the neighborhood kids and employees he mentored over the years.

Martin is survived by his wife Georgia; his sons Michael and Tyler Ross; sister Sharon Ross and brother Matt (Krissie) Ross; brother and sister-in-law Phillip and Becky McMahon; nieces and nephews Melody, Daniel and David Ross, Katie and Ryan Hepler, Cody Seely and Tyler Keener, as well as too many cousins to list, but whom he counted as equal to siblings.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents David and Esther Ross and his brother Michael, all of Lakewood, CA, as well as his father-in-law Keith Hendrick of Lewiston, ID and brother-in-law William Hendrick of Moscow, ID.

A funeral service was held at Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park, WA on Thursday, November 4 at 11:00am followed by interment at Zion Hill Cemetery, also in Deer Park.
