James "Jimmy" Donnini, or "Dago" as he was called by his friends, left this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 71.

Jimmy was born on February 26, 1950 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, son of the late Michael Angelo Donnini and Ruth Kathleen (Elrod) Donnini. Jimmy graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1970. He had worked for the City of Monett Street Department and later for Kay Concrete. Jimmy was raised in the Catholic faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Jimmy is survived by three sisters, Mari Jo Pryor and husband Alvin, of Purdy, MO, Melena Donnini, of Purdy and Leta Elrod, of Monett; two nieces that were very close to him, Melissa Yonker and husband Richard and Tracy Price, all of Pierce City; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Donnini and Billy Elrod; and two nephews, Jerry Donnini and Austin Townsend.

Funeral services for Jimmy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Missouri Disabled Sportsmen in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
