Son of Moses & Evaline (Smith) Harbison.

A veteran of the Civil War, he served as a private in Company B, 7th West Virginia Infantry.

He married first, Martha Elizabeth Hood, the daughter of William & Anna Hood, on September 1, 1865. He later married Eliza J. Koch* the daughter of John Koch & Rebecca Biddle on May 24, 1883.

His death certificate indicates that he was either buried or removed to Graysville, WV. Since his headstone appears in the Harbison cemetery, Graysville is where his body was "removed to" before burial in the Harbison Cemetery.

Update 3/19/2021:
"Elizabeth was the daughter of James G. Deem and Mary Catherine (Polly) Roberts. She was married first to James Albert Maul, secondly to Herman Koch and then to Iven Flemming Harbison."
