Elaine Logsdon, passed away Oct. 9, 2021 at the age of 97 years.
Elaine was born in Dublin, Texas on Aug. 22, 1924, to Chester and May Coppedge Licett. She attended Dublin Public School and Tarleton College. In 1943, she married childhood friend, Harry Logsdon, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. After the end of World War II their time was divided between their homes in Fort Worth and near Glen Rose, Texas. Both Elaine and Harry appreciated nature and had an interest in history, so they traveled extensively to 49 states and Mexico, visiting major scenic and historical places.
Elaine was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, participating in of their programs. She cherished her friendships with many of the members. In later years, her favorite pastimes included gardening, meeting friends for lunch and playing bridge.
Elaine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Renata Logsdon; grandson Jonathan Fancher of Denton, Texas, his wife Hannah Fancher, their children, Liam, Jordan and Logan; granddaughter Jennifer Fancher of Bentonville, Arkansas, her children Julianna and Mikey; and her niece Carolyn Rhody Fox of Gig Harbor, Washington and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister and brother-in-law, Vetra and Frank Rhody; and her niece, Linda Rhody Starr of Chesterfield, Missouri.
