Mrs. Betty Jean Williams Brown, 79, of Canon, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at her home.

Mrs. Brown was born in Royston, GA on September 7, 1941, daughter of the late Ralph O. Williams and the late Elise Carey Williams. She was a teacher having worked at Eagle Grove Elementary School and was a member of the Goldmine Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry F. Brown and Paul K. Barnes; and brother, Ralph Carey Williams.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Herrman Augustin of Royston, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Marie Brown of Canon, GA and Alan and Kasie Brown of Danielsville, GA; grandchildren, Beth and Burton McCausey, David Brown, Austin Brown and Abbi Brown; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, with Rev. Fred Greenway officiating. Interment will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park in Hartwell.

The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. The family is at the home.
