THORA E. BERRY FORMERLY OF HIGHLAND Thora E. Berry age 88, formerly of Highland, IN passed
away February 19, 2017 in Michigan City, IN. She is survived by her daughter
nieces and nephews: Preceded in death by her husband J. Edward Berry in 1953
and daughter Margaret Elizabeth 1957 and her sister Thelma Williams. Funeral services will be conducted by
McCoy Funeral Chapel, Hammond on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon from the First United Methodist Church,
6635 Hohman Ave., Hammond with Pastor Donna Beifuss officiating. Friends may meet with her family one hour prior to service,
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Thora retired from teaching in the Hammond School System with 31 years at Columbia School;
a 50 year member of her church; O.E.S. #370 Hammond since 1948. A member of the Lake County Retired
Teachers Accosiation and Phi Omega Club Hammond. An expression of sympathy may be given to the
Memorial Fund of her Church Ministry of Music.
