Franklin Eugene Ashbaker, Age 87 of Chapin Township died on November 16, 2021 at Memorial Healthcare.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel. Burial will follow at Marion Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends that day from 1:00pm until the service.

Franklin was born on March 13, 1934 to Alvin and Margaret (Henshaw) Ashbaker in Saginaw. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Frank married Flossie F. Searles in 1976; she predeceased him in 2014.

Frank worked for General Motors for 43 years, retiring in 1994. During his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on vehicles.

Frank is survived by his step-daughters, Michelle (Arlene) Sawvel and Katherine Bennett; step-son, David Sawvel; grandchildren Ashely Sawvel, Krisit Blaney, Danielle Blaney, Brittany Blaney, Rolland Patterson, Tony Blaney, Albert Blaney, Little Leonard Patterson, Samantha McCall, and Charlie; and his siblings, Dorothy (Eldin) Bigger and Delferd (Vicki) Ashbaker.

He is predeceased by his wife, parents, and siblings, Alvin Ashbaker, Charlie Ashbaker, and Mary Coughful.
