The 1905 New York State census lists his name as Harrison B. Scott. Believed to be named after his uncle Harrison L. Hoyt. However, it appears he was always known as "Harry".

Occupation in 1905 residing in Brutus, Cayuga, NY. - clerk; 1910 in Cato, Cayuga, NY. - farm laborer; 1915 in Jordan, Onondaga, NY. - mail clerk; 1920 in Camillus, Onondaga, NY. - machinist; 1925 in Camillus, Onondaga, NY. - real estate; 1930 - unable to find census - unknown - separated from wife; 1935 in Phoenix, Oswego, NY. - mail carrier (also filed bankruptcy in 1935); 1940 residing in Camden, Oneida, NY. - salesman for publishing company - census indicates previous residence in Phoenix, Oswego, NY.

Married at the Parsonage:
Harry B. Scott of Weedsport and Miss G. Hazel Mills of Cato were married Saturday night by Rev. E.J. Rosengrant at his house on Grover St.
The bride and groom were unattended. (date of marriage October 24, 1908).

*First name was Georgia, nicknamed Georgie as a infant.
She ignored her 1st name and went through life using only her middle name of "Hazel".

Harry's middle name was Benjamin as given per WWII Draft Registration Card.

My father, Richard C. Scott, rarely seen much of his Grandfather Harry during his life. However, his Grandmother Hazel was often around and attended most family events.
I was too young to remember my paternal Great Grandparents.
Harry retired at age 65 in 1953, referring to obituary 1954.

Harry's 2nd wife was the former Bessie Elizabeth Russell.
Bessie's 1st husband was Dewain (Duane/Dwayne) Alvin Foster and they had 2 daughters, Iantha and Blanche Foster. Bessie's 2nd husband was Albert G. Britton.

Harry B. Scott, 77, McConnellsville – Vienna Rd., died Friday in a Rome hospital.
He was born October 2, 1888 in Weedsport, son of Augustus and Irene Hoyt Scott.
He and Bessie E. Britton were married October 29, 1938, in Taberg by the Rev. Walter Clement. Mr. Scott was a machinist and was employed by New Process Gear, Syracuse; Pettibone – Mulliken Corporation, Rome; and the Conde Milking Machine Company, Sherrill; retiring from the last 12 years ago.
Surviving besides his wife there are a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Bush, Solvay; two step-daughters, Mrs. Leon Robinson, McConnellsville, and Mrs. Leon Trudell, Williamstown; a son, Glenn Scott, Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Mae Pulsipher, Florida; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Sanborn Funeral Home, Camden, with Jack Denison of the McConnellsville Community Church officiating. Burial will be in McConnellsville Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening.
