He lived in Stockham and attended Aurora Schools, until his family moved to Aurora in December of 1990. At the time of his death he was in the 10th Grade, and was in FFA, an honor student, played in the school band, was student manager for the football team, and had been out for the basketball team.
Travis worked at Chuck's Drive Inn, and was liked by his co-workers, and customers, as a kind and devoted employee.
Travis was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, taking trail rides, and working on old tractors.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his parents, Doug and Kathy, a brother Chris, a sister Shawna, all of Aurora; his maternal grandparents, Wilmore and Phyllis Hobelman of Sutton, paternal grandparents, Dave and Joyce Kliewer, of Aurora, his great grandmother, Bessie Willcock of Aurora; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates and other friends.
