He was born March 3, 1948 in Paw Paw, the son of the late Richard Winfield Pfister and Marion Elizabeth (White) Pfister.
Most important to Dick was his strong faith and caring for his loving family.
On November 3, 1973, in Paw Paw, at Saint Mary Catholic Church he married Rita Dietz Pfister who survives.
He is also survived by his two daughters, Angela (Kris) Engelsen and Cheryl (Joe) Ceru; son, Robert (Katrina) Pfister; nine grandchildren, John and Anna Engelsen, Jacinta, Helena, Tod, Matthew and Therese Ceru, Alyssa and Adam Pfister, two sisters, Carol (Ken) Wilder and Pat (Wayne) Christie and his brother in law, Robert Blum.
Richard was preceded in death by his son, Thaddeus "Tod" Pfister, his four infant children and his sister, JoAnn Blum.
Family and friends will visit on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw. Burial will conclude at Saint Mary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius or donations to offer Mass.
