HIGH POINT, N.C. — Wanda Luella (Wilking) Ehrhart, 94, formerly of Anderson, has gone to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2007, at the High Point Regional Hospital, High Point, N.C. She passed from Alzheimer's disease.

Wanda was born to Curtis Cox Wilking and Edna Claire (Roberts) Wilking on April 28, 1913, in Martin County, Ind.

She married Howard Vaughn Ehrhart on Aug. 28, 1936, in Warsaw, Ind. He has been with the Lord since June 13, 1992. He passed with cancer.

Wanda graduated from Indiana University in 1937 with a BA in Arts and Science, where she was an English major, a member of the rifle team and worked in the cafeteria.

She was a very active woman. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the DAR. She and her husband were very active in the Republican Party.

They lived in Anderson for 30 years before moving to Indianapolis in 1979, where she continued to be active in the DAR and her church. She volunteered as a guide at the Benjamin Harrison Home for about 10 years. In 1989, they moved to Greensboro, N.C., where they were active in the Presbyterian Church, DAR and the Republican Party.

Survivors include two daughters, Julia Ann (David) Wright of High Point, N.C., and Linda Claire Abel of Orchard, Texas; six grandchildren, Kenneth David Bruner of South Bend, Ind., Kimmberly Ann Allen of San Marcos, Texas, Christopher Martin Abel of Hollywood, Calif., Lisa Kay Gesford of High Point, N.C., Valerie Jean (Charles) Valentine of Bastrop, Texas and Samuel David (Anna) Wright of Virginia Beach, Va.; eight great- grandchildren, Anthony Parker Valentine, Nicholas Grae Valentine, Zachary Charles Valentine and Liliana Grace Valentine, all of Bastrop, Texas, Clyde Wells Allen IV of Houston, Texas, Sheena Marie Kokalis of Albuquerque, N.M., and Keri Ellen Gesford and Micah Thomas Gesford, both of High Point, N.C.; and one great-great-grandchild, Luis Philip Griego of Albuquerque, N.M.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, Ind., with David Wright officiating. Burial will take place at Huntsville Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
