Lemuel, son of Benjamin and Louisa Allison, was born in Ohio. Siblings according to the 1850 US Census included Margaret, Sarah, Nanci, Martha, Rebecca, James and Samuel all born in Ohio. In 1850 the family was living in Seal, Pike County, Ohio. The 1870 census finds Lemuel and wife Margaret living in the Beaver Creek, Seward County Nebraska area. According to census records, Lemuel was engaged in farming. Lemuel and wife Margaret's children were Benjamin, Charles, Luvica,William, Lousianna, Alabama, and Mary. One son, Arlen, who died at age five, is buried in the plot next to Lemuel and Margaret.

LEMUEL M. ALLISON Lemuel M. Allison was born April 4, 1832, in Pike County, Ohio, and died August 10, 1926, at the age of 94 years, 4 months and 6 days. He moved with his parents to Logan County, Ill. in 1852. He was united in marriage to Mary J. Pollen in 1855. In 1859 both united with the Missionary Baptist church. He moved with his family to Seward County, Nebraska in 1869. To this union 12 children were born, four of whom still survive. They are Charles Allison of Beaver Crossing, Nebr; Mrs. P. J. Schoenfield, of San Francisco, California; Mrs. J. F. Pollen, of Durham, California; Mrs. H. L. Leach, Medford, Oregan.
