Kenneth "Ken" Lee Cobb, age 56, Senior Applications Engineer, was a fantastic chef, nostalgic photographer, coolest technical "Geek" on the planet, lover of motorcycles and cars, a Datsun 510 to be exact, amateur pilot, stand-up comedian, avid chess player, passionate coach and mentor, his son Colton's biggest fan, big brother, protector, and best friend!

Ken was a strong man with the biggest heart, always made you laugh with an infectious personality that just came naturally. He never met a stranger and he was just the most likable guy. He was so very passionate about his work; it was like art to him and he built bonds with coworkers and customers that became his family in multiple states.

Ken was born in Tunica, Mississippi on January 16, 1966 and entered heaven on November 17, 2021 at the age of 56 where he was reunited with his grandmother, Cassie Listion, his most favorite person! His parents were Jimmy Lee Cobb and Shirley Mae Listion; grandparents, Vardaman Listion and Cassie Tucker-Listion all from Tunica, Mississippi.

He leaves behind his most prized possession, his son Colton Tucker Cobb; sister, Kristy Weaver; favorite brother-in-law, Martie Weaver; nieces, Cassie Barbee and Myranda Weaver; nephew, Channing Barbee all from Bowling Green, Kentucky; and step-father, Ben Rietl of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Ken graduated Coldwater High School in 1984 in Coldwater, Mississippi. He was President of the Science & Math Club, Sr. Beta Club member, Honor Student, President of the Chess Club and two-time state champion for the state of Mississippi, member of the Ham Radio Club, Voted Most Likely to Succeed, and Who's Who Among American High School Students all four years.

He graduated from Bellevue College in 1990 with AAS Degree, CAD/CADD Drafting & Design Technology. Ken worked as an Independent Contractor & Sr Manufacturing/Computer Applications Engineer for Phillips. Inc. in Nashville, TN and an Independent Contractor for Kenna Technical Services. He was also a Webmaster/Technical Writer for THINC Developers Group where he was a Founder and Steering Committee Member.

Ken wore many hats and was a lifelong learner. He was a Red Cross Training Instructor where he volunteered for the past 22 years. He was a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo, 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, 1st Degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate, authorized trainer for CSWA Mechanical Design and a Certified Okuma Applications Engineer Trainer.
Ken was a true mentor for kids that may not have had an opportunity to play sports. He was a Manager/ Head Coach for the American Legion Baseball Club taking his 18U CABA Team as World Series Runner Up in 2016. Assistant Coach for Little League International "A" baseball team in Richmond, KY where he took a fast ball to the back of the head and lived to talk about it! He was head coach for the Purple Dinosaurs & Sponge Bob Square Pants YMCA Youth T-Ball Teams in the Tri-Cities of WA state. You would often see him buying equipment for the kids with his own money and running down the baseline encouraging them to do their best, he had a big-big heart for helping kids succeed.
