"Joseph James Moran, 83, native of Biloxi and resident of d'Iberville most of his life, died at 6:30 a.m. today at the home of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Peter Moran. Mr. Moran was the widower of Mrs. Ola Seymour Moran and Mrs. Cecelia Fountain Moran. He was a shrimp fisherman most of his life and a member of Sacred Heart Church, d'Iberville. He is survived by a son, Alonz J., Biloxi; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral will be from O'Keefe Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. followed by services at Sacred Heart Church, d'Iberville, by Rev. Patrick McAlphine. Burial will be in Moran Cemetery."
