WINSTED – Adeline "Dolly" (Nero) Sileo, 92, of Chestnut Street, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Litchfield Woods Convalescent Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph Sileo.

Born May 6, 1916, in Winsted, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Angelina (DaNini) Nero. She was a self-employed caregiver until her retirement. She was a member of the McCarthy Senior Center, a communicant of St. Joseph Church, and an avid Yankee fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Al "Sonny" Smith of Winsted; a brother, Anthony "Tony" Nero of Winsted; four grandchildren, Marie Schapp and her husband, Fred, Barbara Ferrari and her husband, Bruce, Joseph Smith and his wife, Mary Ann, Shawn Smith and his wife, Jennifer; three great-grandchildren, Amber Petersen, Brandon Ferrari and Chase Dill; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral procession will leave 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15, from LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Church, c/o The Pastoral Center, 160 Main St., Torrington 06790; or St. Joseph Church, 31 Oak St., Winsted 06098.
