Rita married Richard Clifford Beetz in 1956. He passed away on October 15, 1989. Rita married Charles Emery Kiser on February 14, 1995.
Rita is survived by husband Charles (Charlie) Kiser; her brother Edward Kirby and sister Corrine Kirby; her sister-in-laws Betty Smith and Emily Alexander; her children Linda Davis and Randy Beetz; her step-children Shawn Taylor, Anne Hatton and Chuck Kiser; her 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and her many nephews and nieces.
Rita was blessed with many talents: cooking, sewing, quilting, dancing, needlework, gardening and canning. She loved sharing all of these talents with her family. She and her husband Charlie were avid square dancers. In addition to the many dances they attended around Indiana, they traveled to regional and national square dance festivals. After retiring in 1998, Rita and Charlie split their time between Bloomington, Indiana and Pharr, Texas while they lived their dream of "the best of both worlds" with good friends, wonderful family times, great golf, dancing and avoiding the snow.
Wherever they were they enjoyed being together, having fun and enjoying retirement. Truly, as Forest Gump would say, Charlie and Rita fit together like peas and carrots - especially on the dance floor. Her life was a living example of "the fruit of the Spirit" (Galatians 5:22-23). The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Please join us celebrating her life Sunday afternoon November 28th . Family and friends may call from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a service at 3:00 p.m. Rita will be placed to rest at the Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer, Indiana on Monday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m.
